OK, this bulb isn't bright, but at just 1.5w of power it will cost almost nothing to run and has a massive life of at least 30,000 hours.
This bulb is great for outdoor, decorative festoon lighting where long life is essential, or indoors where ever you don't need or want a lot of light. The tough polycarbonate material makes this LED golf ball much, much less likely to break than glass equivalents.
The colour of light that is produced is a fairly cool (bluish) white, which makes it perfect for use as a night light in children's bedrooms or on the landing.
It has a standard bayonet cap, and is exactly the same size as a regular incandescent golf ball bulb. The standard size means that this bulb is compatible with a massive range of light fittings.
These coloured decorative golfball lamps are often used in outdoor and indoor festoon light, string lights, festival or party lighting, and night lights.
These lamps are IP20 rated and can only be used in an outdoor fitting or festoon which has an IP44 rating or higher. If the fitting (lamp holder) is not IP rated the lamps may suffer water ingress causing the LEDs to fail. In this situation any warranties would be void.
