The Valo LED Super Slim strip lights from Selectric provide an even light distribution and are designed to illuminate right up to the edge of the fixture. As there is very little non-illuminated area at either end of these fittings, there will not be gaps of light when these fittings are butted together, this provides a completely even light distribution.
Often used under kitchen cabinets to provide a good light on work surfaces, Valo LED fittings can also be used to provide discrete lighting in alcoves or other recesses. Different sizes of fitting are available to suit the spaces to be lit.
These LED strip lights are compatible (via matching link lead) with Selectric branded T4 fittings, but are not directly compatible with Selectric branded T5 non-LED fittings.
The images above show the plug and socket used in this fitting. Other manufacturers may use physically different power connectors for T5 fittings. This means that if you purchase T5 fittings from multiple manufacturers, they may not be easily linkable using the supplied link leads. However, it is usually possible to make a custom link lead by joining two cables from different manufacturers.
These connectors are compatible with some brands of fittings such as Halolite.
