The decorative CCFL range uses low energy cold cathode technology. Cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) use a discharge in mercury vapor to develop ultraviolet light, which in turn causes a fluorescent coating on the inside of the lamp to emit visible light, this is a similar effect in neon lights.
These energy saving tube GLS lamps provide a retro look at the fraction of the energy cost of an old style incandescent light bulb. These lamps are coated in a gold colour creating a warm amber glow
The energy efficient CCFL light bulb is rated at 2100K which is a very warm white colour temperature. This lamp is 7w, 250 lumen, and 15,000 hours.
