The 7w LED GU10 is from Prolite and is available in a wide range of colours. This strong vivid yellow GU10 light bulb is an ideal replacement for high energy halogen GU10s. High power 7w light output, fitted with opaque lens and instant start.
As LED products produced using new technologies are used with old dimmer technology, achieving effective and smooth dimming can be challenging. For this dimmable lamp Pro-Lite have tested, and recommend Varilight V-Pro dimmers. Other dimmers designed for use with LED lights may also work, but dimmers designed for halogen lights must not be used as this could damage the light bulbs and / or the incompatible dimmer module. Always consult the instructions for your dimmer - if in any doubt use the recommended dimmer from Varilight.
The 7w GU10 from Prolite have an operating temperature of around 45-50 degrees C which is best suited for open front or back spot lights. If being used in a fully enclosed fitting the lamps can over heat shortening their lifespan and may void the manufacturers warranty. The manufacturer recommends the lower wattage 1.8w coloured lamp range for fully enclosed fittings.
