This is a 12v 15w MR16 spot lamp. The MR16 fitting has two straight pins that push into the lamp holder. It is also known as GU5.3 because the pins are 5.3mm apart.
This lamp has been specifically designed for use with fibre optics. It has an open front, without the usual glass cover. Because the lamp is open-fronted it is possible to touch the halogen capsule in side. You should avoid this as the natural oils in your skin can considerably reduce the lifespan of the bulb.
